Dr. Rebecca Schacker graduated with a doctorate of chiropractic from the University of Western States in 2004. Her passion is to help people overcome pain and discomfort while finding ways to live a healthier and fuller life. She incorporates lifestyle advice (e.g. posture, ergonomics, sleep, movement, strengthening, nutrition) that with her treatments empower patients to regain health.

While earning her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition at UC Davis, she excelled as a hammer and discus thrower with the university track team. During that time is when she first started to get chiropractic treatment. With these treatments she found her health as well as her athletic performance improve. With the intent of a career in development work, she volunteered with the Peace Corps in the Dominican Republic. During her tour of service, she realized she could put her talents to the best use by studying to be a chiropractor. With her dedication to helping others, in addition to her athletic and nutrition background, Dr. Schacker helps people of all abilities live a more functional life.

She loves living and working in the Foster Powell neighborhood. She performs hands on adjusting, as well as lower force methods. Most treatments incorporate a physiomodality such as muscle stim, ultrasound, laser or Graston®. Patient preferences for intensity of treatment are always respected. Other specialties of Dr. Schacker include treatment after motor vehicle accident trauma, sports injuries or overuse, general injuries, neck and spine pain, and pain or dysfunction in many other joints in the body (TMJ, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hand, hip, knee, ankle and foot). She loves talking about food and cats.
